UKAS temperature calibration at Absolute Calibration is performed in a very well equipped Environmental Laboratory with a variety of fluid baths, a fluidised alumina bath and a high temperature furnace, all of which provide very stable isothermal environments for the temperature calibration of Platinum Resistance Thermometers and thermocouples using comparative techniques. Low temperatures, down to -90°C are achieved using an AMETEK JOFRA Advanced Temperature Calibrator - ATC-125B. The JOFRA ATC-125 ultra cooler features a unique free piston stirling cooler technology for optimum performance and superior temperature homogeneity throughout the block at very low temperatures. The JOFRA ATC-125 ultra cooler is the world's first temperature dry-block calibrator capable of reaching -90˚C. Absolute Calibration have wide experience in the temperature calibration of Kaye Intelligent Probes (Intelligent Resistance Temperature Devices - IRTD's). We can also re-programme Kaye Intelligent Probes as part of their calibration. We can provide UKAS temperature calibration and standard traceable temperature calibration and certification over the range:- -90 °C to 1200 °C with uncertainties from as low as 0.01 °C As well as PRT's and Thermocouples we also provide UKAS temperature calibration of Dry block calibrators and standard traceable calibration of Infrared (blackbody) thermometers.
