On-Site Calibration Engineer
An experienced calibration engineer is required to work in Portchester, East Sussex and throughout the UK. Ideally the candidate will be familiar with calibration of the following measurement disciplines and process related equipment, performing the calibrations at our customer's sites and Absolute Calibration's own laboratories.
Ovens, Freezers, Incubators, packing & sealing machines, hot plates, pressure gauges and calibrators, temperature gauges, washers/dryers, 4-20mA transmitters, chart recorders, temperature & humidity sensors, thermocouples and PRT's and electrical instrumentation from multimeters to signal generators.
Calibration will be performed at our permanent laboratory; a major customer's facility in West Sussex and other locations throughout the UK. The facility in West Sussex will require 12 hours shift work and occasional weekends to meet the demands of their shutdowns.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work on their own initiative and be able to devise test methods and plan workload 'on the job'. This position requires a full clean driving licence and will require the successful candidate to drive to locations throughout the UK and Ireland. Transport and equipment will be provided by the company.
